Zeminde ne var

Berceste Serisi Uşak Desenli Klasik Tasarım Mavi Yün Halı, bu ailenin zemini mavi olan iki yolluğundan biridir. Zemin soluk bir gök mavisi-gri; üzerine krem ve daha koyu mavi hatlarla çizilmiş yıldız gövdeli çiçekler, rozetler ve bunları birbirine bağlayan ince dallar oturuyor. Ana bordür ise tersine krem: mavi rozetlerin dizildiği geniş bir şerit halıyı çevreliyor ve iki yanında ince mavi su bantları var. Motiflerin arasında yer yer soluk somon-pembe bir vurgu çıkıyor; bu, yıkanmış Uşak paletinin tipik üçüncü rengidir. Halının eni 84 cm — ailenin en dar parçası — bu yüzden bordür zemine oranla geniş görünür ve desen daha sıkışık okunur.

Ölçüsü ve nerede iyi durur

84 × 302 cm, yaklaşık 2,5 metrekare. Türkiye'deki dairelerde koridor genişliği çoğunlukla 100–130 cm arasındadır; 84 cm'lik bir yolluk bu koridorda iki yanda avuç içi kadar zemin bırakır ve süpürgelik hattını kapatmaz. Mutfakta tezgâh ile ada arasındaki bant, yatak odasında karyolanın tek yanı ve balkon çıkışı da bu ene uygun yerlerdir.

Dar yolluklarda oran meselesi şudur: en küçüldükçe motif ölçeği de küçülmeli, yoksa desen kesik görünür. Burada motifler buna göre ufaltılmış.

Uşak, Batı Anadolu'da 15. yüzyıldan bu yana halı dokuyan bir merkezdir. Klasik dönem Uşak halıları — madalyonlu ve yıldızlı Uşak olarak anılan gruplar — büyük ölçekli motiflerin zemine sonsuz tekrar mantığıyla yerleştirildiği, yani desenin bordürde tamamlanmayıp kesilerek sürdüğü bir düzenle tanınır. 19. yüzyılda batıya ihracat için dokunan Uşak halılarında palet açıldı: kırmızı ve lacivert yerini kreme, soluk maviye ve terrakotaya bıraktı, motifler gevşek çizilmeye başladı. Bugün dünya piyasasında 'Oushak' adıyla anılan yumuşak renkli, iri çiçekli tip budur. Bu yolluk o geç dönem Uşak dilini yeniden üretiyor: soluk zemin, gevşek çizilmiş rozetler ve krem bordür.

Nasıl dokunmuş

Türkiye'de, yün ve pamuk ipliklerle makine tezgâhında dokunmuştur; ürün verisinde yüzey ipliği yün olarak kayıtlıdır. Yün havlı makine halılarında yüzey, viskonlu halılara göre belirgin biçimde mattır — yün lifi ışığı yansıtmak yerine dağıtır. Uşak paletinin soluk tonlarının burada tozlu ve eski görünmesinin sebebi kısmen budur; aynı renkler viskonla dokunsaydı parlar ve 'yıkanmış' etkisi kaybolurdu.

Dar ende desen kurmak, dokuma açısından geniş ende kurmaktan farklıdır: bordür genişliği sabit tutulursa zemine kalan alan orantısız daralır, bu yüzden yolluklarda bordür de birlikte küçültülür.

Bütünüyle temizlenmesi profesyonel yıkamayla olur; ev tipi makine uygun değildir. Full description

The ground is faded rather than solid — the blue washed back as though the runner had spent a decade beside a window — with the Oushak drawing sitting over it in stronger tone. Woven by machine in wool and cotton in Türkiye, 84 × 302 cm (2'9" × 9'11"), Berceste Series. A single piece.

Fading is a design decision here and not an accident of age, and it changes what the rug does in a room. A solid blue field pulls the eye down; a broken, lightened one lets the floor breathe and makes the pattern read as though it had been in place a long time. At 84 cm this is the narrow end of the runner range, which is the width for a real corridor rather than a wide hall — the sort of passage where anything broader rides up against the skirting.

The pile is wool; cotton carries it underneath. This is a power loom's work, even and repeatable, which is what a loom is for, and that evenness is what allows the faded effect to be controlled at all: the lightening is drawn into the design rather than left to the sun. It will not go on fading. What it will do is show the traffic line down the middle sooner than a dark patterned rug would, because a pale ground shows everything first. Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
