El Dokuma Geometrik Desenli Rengarenk Halı Tablo, daire dilimleri, üçgenler ve dikdörtgen alanların birbirinin üzerine bindiği bir kompozisyona sahiptir. Sarı, bordo, gül kurusu, lacivert ve siyah aynı yüzeyde bir araya gelir; formlar arasında boşluk bırakılmaz, her alan bir diğerinin kenarından başlar. Full description

It was made to go on a wall, not a floor. At 80 × 97 cm (2'7" × 3'2") this is a handwoven panel — halı tablo in Turkish, literally a rug picture — with a multicolor geometric drawing, worked in India from cotton, viscose and synthetic yarn. One piece.

Weaving something for the wall changes the decisions behind it. Nobody walks on it, so pile height and abrasion resistance stop mattering and color can be pushed as far as the weaver wants; what matters instead is how the piece hangs, which is why panels are woven small, square-ish and dense enough not to ripple. The geometry here is modern rather than traditional, and the full color range is used at full strength — a choice that would be exhausting across nine square meters and is exactly right across one.

How is a rug wall panel hung?

The usual method is a sleeve or a row of rings sewn to the back along the top edge, carrying a batten or rod so the weight is spread across the whole width. Hanging a woven panel from two corner points instead will pull the fabric out of square over time, and the distortion does not come back out.

Can this be used on the floor instead?

It can, but it was not built for it. A panel of this size is woven for appearance rather than abrasion, and put underfoot it will wear along whichever line people walk. On a wall it stays as it is indefinitely, away from direct sun.

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
