01From ground to pile

This one does not, and the reason is the fleck: several close values spun into the same yarn, so the eye averages them out into a true neutral rather than settling on any single cast. It shows itself most clearly on a floor that is not pale.

Bohemian and minimal rooms both take it, and it agrees with solid wood, tweedy upholstery and anything of a natural texture. Knotted by hand in India, wool over cotton, packed tightly enough to feel like hand knitting under the palm. An 8 mm pile is not deep, and the weight is carried in the density instead of the height.
