Technical details

The nature of handwork: Every woven rug is made one at a time, so sizes and color tones can vary by up to 3%. Small irregularities where the yarns cross are not faults; they are the signature of the weave.

The story of this rug

Kehribar Series Machine-Woven Striped Kilim in gray, with white and yellow crossing the bands. Cotton throughout, woven in Türkiye, and the last size held runs 160 × 230 cm — 5'3" × 7'7" in feet. Bands travel the length of the piece, and the whole thing washes at home. Stripes are the least forgiving drawing a loom can be given, since any drift in the weaving shows immediately as a wavering line, and they are also the most useful in a small room: parallel bands read as length, so a striped rug lengthens the floor it sits on.

Gray keeps it neutral, the white opens the bands out, and the yellow appears only often enough to stop the whole thing going cold. It is thin cotton, wool-free, and light enough to shake out over a balcony rail. Machine-woven cotton kilim from Türkiye, wool-free. Gray with white and yellow, banded along the length. Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
