The story of this rug
Four and a half kilograms of viscose stand in every square meter of this rug, and the pile runs twelve millimeters deep. Beige Plain Loom-Woven Viscose Rug: 100% viscose, loom-woven in India, and the sizes run 140 × 200, 200 × 200, 200 × 300 cm (6'7" × 9'10") — plus a runner at 100 × 500 cm. The beige is not cream and it is not brown; it is the tone between the two, and it changes from side to side. Viscose is spun from cellulose and lies directionally, so one half of the rug looks lit and the other looks deep, and the halves trade places when you walk around it.
Nothing is printed on the surface to produce that. Beside oak, pale plaster or stone the effect stays quiet enough to be read as texture rather than as color. The looms are in India, and 4,500 g/m² is what registers when a corner of it is lifted. Twelve millimeters is a deep pile for a rug of this kind, and it gives underfoot rather than springing back. The sheen has a cost, and it is worth knowing in advance: walk across it and the marks stay where your feet left them until the pile is combed back.

If that would annoy you, a matte wool is the better purchase. Vacuum it normally, and leave a deep clean to a rug washer. 100% viscose pile, loom-woven in India. 4,500 g/m² — a heavy, close weave. 12 mm pile: deep, and soft rather than firm. One half bright, the other matte, depending on where you stand. Shows footmarks, which comb out. Four sizes: 140 × 200, 200 × 200 and 200 × 300 cm, plus a 100 × 500 cm (3'3" × 16'5") runner. Professional washing. Five meters of it down a corridor is the sort of thing you notice on the way in and stop noticing by the end of the week.

Which size fits your room?
The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:
Living room
At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.
Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380
Dining room
It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom
Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Care — three rules
Vacuum regularly
Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.
Treat spills before they dry
Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.
Leave washing to a professional
Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?
It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.
How does the price change between sizes?
Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
Can I see the rug in Ankara?
Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.
Can I ask for a size that is not listed?
Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
