The story of this rug

Eight millimeters of pile at 2,700 grams to the square meter, in 100% viscose, with nothing printed or woven onto it: a plain cream rug machine-woven in Türkiye whose only event is the way light crosses it.

01The tone of the ground

Five sizes, 130 × 190 cm (4'3" × 6'3") through 300 × 400 cm (9'10" × 13'1"), and other sizes are made to order. The tone runs from off-white to cream and stays there — neither cold nor warm, which is what makes a pale rug usable rather than merely pale. What changes is the sheen.

02When you walk in

Standing at one end of the room the surface is bright, almost damp-looking; from the other end it goes matt and settles down. Nothing has been done to the fiber to produce that; it is the pile lying in one direction against the light. In a room of modern furniture the rug slots in without argument, and among heavier classical pieces it opens a gap for the eye to rest in. Viscose comes from cellulose, and that is where the light on the surface begins — the reason a rug with no drawing on it is still worth looking down at.

03The air of the room

At 2,700 g/m² there is real weight in the hand, and the 8 mm pile is deep enough to feel and shallow enough to slide a door over. One honest word: cream this pale hides nothing that gets dropped on it, and in a busy household that is a question about upkeep before it is a question about taste.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
