The story of this rug

Mink is the tone that sits between cream and gray and commits to neither, which is why it agrees with almost anything already standing in a room. Plain Mink Machine-Woven Viscose Rug, 100% viscose, made on Turkish looms, weighing 2,700 g/m² with the pile standing 8 mm proud.

01How many centimeters, which room

Custom sizes are cut to order. The surface is where all of it happens. Viscose is spun from plant cellulose and reflects light in a way that shifts as you walk past — from one side of the room the mink is bright and almost liquid, from the other it goes flat and quiet, and nothing has been printed or woven in to produce the difference.

02Which tone on the ground

Because mink leans neither warm nor cool, it does not fight beige upholstery and does not turn blue in a north-facing room. Barefoot, the pile is soft enough to notice. It is made in Türkiye on power looms, which is what keeps a plain rug of this weight within reach.

03The origin of the pattern

Density is what the weight buys: at that gram figure it lies flat, does not ripple, and has enough body to feel substantial when you lift a corner. It sheds very little day to day. Where a standard size will not suit a room, it is finished to order instead.

It takes a professional wash when the day comes. Machine-woven in Türkiye, 100% viscose. A weight of 2,700 g/m², over a pile of 8 mm: neither thin nor deep. Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?
