Viscose fiber temporarily loses its strength when wet, which is why a spill has to be lifted without being left to sit. It returns to itself once dry.

The story of this rug

Cross it and the surface remembers the route for a while: a plain green rug woven by machine in Türkiye from 100% viscose, at 2,700 g/m² and 8 mm of pile, made in a range of sizes. The green sits at the shaded end of a forest — quiet, but not a neutral. Nothing is drawn on it, so the surface itself is the design.

01What Viscose does

Viscose is spun from plant cellulose and behaves like a filament: seen from one side the green looks lit and almost wet, and seen from the other it goes matt and steps back. The tone is a shaded forest green rather than a fresh one, which is what stops it from reading as a color statement and lets it work as a background instead.

02Which furniture, which room

It flatters furniture rather than competing with it. Weight is where the quality of a machine-made rug becomes visible, and 2,700 g/m² is dense for the type — the pile packs closely and the rug lies flat without a pad under it. Eight millimeters puts it between a flat rug and a deep one, low enough for a door to clear. The drawback is the sheen.

03What the yarn is

Step on it and the mark stays until the pile is brushed the other way, and anybody who would find that irritating should be looking at wool. Daily care is a vacuum, and a wipe when something goes over. 100% viscose pile, machine-woven in Türkiye. 2,700 g/m², which is a dense construction for a machine-made rug. An 8 mm pile: neither thin nor deep, and low enough to clear a door. The green shifts between lit and matt depending on where you stand. Footmarks show and stay until the pile is brushed back. Made in a range of sizes, for sitting rooms, bedrooms, studies and entrances. Vacuum and wipe for daily care; use a professional for a deep clean. What exactly is a footmark on this rug? It is pile lying the wrong way, and nothing more.

Where a foot has pressed, the filaments point in a new direction and send light back at a different angle, so that patch reads lighter or darker than the rest. Sweep the nap back and the patch disappears. A green floor is easy to get wrong, and this one avoids it by sitting in shade instead of sunlight.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Recommended: 170×240 · 200×290 · 240×340

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
