The story of this rug

Three greens, in order: a pale yellow-green at the top of the field, olive through the middle, a cold green at the far end. Plain Green Loom-Woven Wool Rug — 80% wool, 20% other natural fiber, 3,300 g/m² at 7 mm, woven in India and best taken large — 250 × 350 cm (8'2" × 11'6") is where the color has room to run. Calling it an olive grove is not much of a stretch. The handovers between tones are gentle enough that each step across the rug puts a slightly different green underfoot, and the color is neither bright nor dull; it takes whatever light the room has and changes with it through the day.

Modern, rustic and Scandinavian schemes absorb it without argument. Made in India on a loom, part hand and part machine. The fiber is 80% wool with 20% other natural yarn, the pile stands at 7 mm and the weight comes in at 3,300 g/m², which together produce a surface that gives underfoot without going soft.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
