The story of this rug
Red pulled across beige in loose diagonal bands, with gold surfacing where the two meet: this is the Heritage Series Abstract Loom-Woven Rug, New Zealand wool over a cotton foundation, bamboo viscose carrying the gold.
01Choosing the size
Measures a plain 200 × 300 cm (6'7" × 9'10") square, and is made in that size alone. The drawing has no center and no border, so the eye is not sent anywhere in particular and settles wherever the red is heaviest.
02Color that shifts through the day
Beige holds about two thirds of the field and keeps the red from turning the room. Gold is the smallest quantity of the three and does the most work: it is the only part of the surface that changes as you walk past it, because the viscose lies flat and returns light while the wool absorbs it. On a Heritage rug the knots go in by machine and every step after that is done by hand, which is what the trade means by loom-woven.
03Coming off the loom
The result is a more regular surface than a village weaver produces and a less regular one than a print. The wool is New Zealand fleece, and staple length is why it wears evenly. Red and beige together will make a north-facing room warmer and a south-facing one busier.
04What Wool does
Wipeable in an emergency; otherwise washed by a professional. Loom-woven in Türkiye: mechanical knotting, hand finishing. Wool from New Zealand over a cotton foundation. Bamboo viscose used only where the gold runs. Diagonal red bands over a beige field, no border and no medallion. The gold shifts as you cross it; the wool does not. Best in a room with cool light, where the red does the warming. Its one format: 200 × 300 cm, which in feet is 6'7" by 9'10". Professional washing; wipe spills at once. Ten years of feet will take some of the red out of the traffic line, and it will suit the rug better than the color does now.

Which size fits your room?
The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:
Living room
At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Dining room
It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom
Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Hallway · runner
Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules
Vacuum regularly
Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.
Treat spills before they dry
Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.
Leave washing to a professional
Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?
At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.
How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

Will the color match what I see on screen?
Small differences in tone are possible depending on your screen. Open the images full screen to study the surface, and watch the review video where there is one. If you want to be sure, you can see the rug in person at our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara.
Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?
It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.
How does the price change between sizes?
Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
Can I see the rug in Ankara?
Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.
Can I ask for a size that is not listed?
Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
