Cream Round Machine-Woven Viscose Rug, Mermer Series

Halıcızade's own description of this one is a pair of beige trousers: whatever else is in the room, it will not argue with it. The Mermer Series round rug is machine-woven in Türkiye from dense viscose with acrylic worked in, cream running into natural beige, at three diameters — 160 cm (5'3"), 200 cm (6'7") and 250 cm (8'2"). There is no motif to speak of. What the surface has instead is depth: the pile is dense enough that the tone changes as you cross the room, bright from one side and flat from the other, and the cream-to-beige movement inside it does the rest.

That is why a plain round rug is worth looking at at all. Because the color sits in the middle of the neutral range it does not commit the room to warm or cool, which is the practical point of it — people who have spent a long time failing to find the right rug tend to end up here. Acrylic is blended into the viscose to carry the wear, and the density is what gives the rug its weight and its shine.

One thing to expect: for the first few weeks it will drop loose fiber onto the floor around it. That stops after a handful of vacuum passes and it does not come back. After that it holds very little lint. It is made for Halıcızade and sold nowhere else, and it should be sent to a professional washer rather than cleaned at home.
