Modern, Classic pattern. The motif is built while the rug is woven; there is no layer printed on afterward. There is brown in the ground.
This rug is woven in Afghanistan. Where a rug is from is read in its knot and its yarn more than in its pattern; that is why the place on the spec sheet matters.
Cleaning method: Professional cleaning. Once a week with a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile, is enough for everyday care.
The nature of handwork: Every woven rug is made one at a time, so sizes and color tones can vary by up to 3%. Small irregularities where the yarns cross are not faults; they are the signature of the weave.

The Oushak repertoire, redrawn in yellow: classical motifs from western Anatolia carried on a handwoven rug made in Pakistan and Afghanistan, with bright and dark yellows worked against one another across the field.
The pile is wool and the warp is cotton. Part of Halıcızade's Retro Series, and this is a single piece. Two yellows do the work. The bright one carries the ground and the darker one holds the motifs, and the gap between them is wide enough that the drawing stays legible from standing height without a second color being introduced at all.
That contrast is a product of the finishing — Retro pieces are dyed and then washed by a method that opens the tonal range within one color. Yellow throws light back into a room, so anything pale standing near it will pick up a little. The surface is wool and nothing else.
A trace of recycled synthetic yarn runs through the foundation, added for strength, and that gets stated instead of being buried under the word natural. The warp is cotton, which is what keeps the piece thin for its density.
Weaving is done in Pakistan and Afghanistan by weavers working in the older tradition. Because each rug is dyed and washed individually, no two finish with quite the same range of tone. Washing: professional, by someone who works with wool. Handwoven in Pakistan and Afghanistan for the Retro Series. A wool pile over a cotton warp; the foundation carries a little recycled synthetic. Oushak motifs of the classical kind, in bright and dark yellows. The tonal range comes from the dyeing and washing, not from added colors. Thin for its density; it sits flat under furniture. Suits an office as readily as a sitting room. Professional washing. A single piece; every Retro rug finishes slightly differently. Yellow is the shade most buyers reason themselves out of; the ones who do not usually keep the rug longest.
The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:
At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.
Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380
It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.
Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340
Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.
Recommended: 170×240 · 200×290 · 240×340
Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.
Recommended: 80×290 · 90×390 · 90×490
Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.
Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.
Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.
At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.
Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
