01Color that shifts through the day

Orange moves through the field in curving bands, anchored by navy and cooled by cream. The shapes neither repeat nor resolve into anything nameable. They curve and fold across the ground the way paint does while it is still wet, and the orange carries most of the energy while the blue absorbs it.

02How it feels underfoot

An unusual dyeing method splits every color into several depths of itself, so a single band of orange holds three or four distinct values and shows a different one depending on the angle you take it from. Wool over cotton, tied with the Turkish double knot — the symmetrical knot also called the Gördes knot, which grips the foundation on both sides and is the reason rugs made this way outlast the people who buy them.

03Choosing the size

At 275 × 370 cm it is a room-sized piece and it will govern whatever room it is in. Vacuum it; anything beyond that is a job for a professional washer.
