Viscose weave
Viscose fiber takes dye well, so colors come out saturated and mid-tones do not run into each other. A bright surface puts saturation first.

Classic pattern. Because the pattern comes from inside the weave, it can be followed from the back as well. Built on a pink ground.
This rug is woven in Türkiye. It comes straight from the workshop with no reseller layer; the place on the spec sheet and the place it was woven are the same.
Cleaning method: Professional cleaning. A pad laid underneath holds the rug in place and stops it rubbing against the floor; besides preventing sliding it also extends its life.
The nature of handwork: Every woven rug is made one at a time, so sizes and color tones can vary by up to 3%. Small irregularities where the yarns cross are not faults; they are the signature of the weave.

Heritage Series Vintage Pink Loom-Woven Rug, a mink-gray ground carrying a central medallion and its scrollwork in dusty pink, worn back so the drawing never fully sharpens. New Zealand wool through the surface, bamboo viscose across the motifs, cotton in the foundation.
Woven in Türkiye and made in one size, being 160 × 230 cm (5'3" × 7'7") flat. The medallion sits where a classical rug puts it, in the middle, but the pink has been pulled down almost to the tone of the ground, so what you notice from a doorway is the shape rather than the color.
Nearer, the bamboo viscose takes light that the wool refuses, and the pattern separates itself out. Pink of this kind is not a fixed thing: under a warm bulb it turns toward rose, and in flat afternoon daylight it goes closer to gray. Loom-woven means the knots are set mechanically and everything after that is hand work — the ends, the edges, the fringes. The fleece is New Zealand wool, chosen because a long staple resists matting where feet land most often.
That is good for cleaning and less good underfoot, and anyone who wants a rug to sit down on will find this one firm. Wipe spills as they happen; anything more than that goes to a professional. Loom work in Türkiye, with every finishing step done by hand. New Zealand wool surface, bamboo viscose in the pattern, cotton foundation. A faded pink medallion and scrollwork on a mink-gray field. Short pile, firm rather than deep. Classical drawing, softened enough to sit in a plain room. Single size: a flat 160 × 230 cm (5'3" × 7'7") oblong. Wipeable for accidents, professional washing for everything else. Faded pink stops arguing with a room after about a week, and few of the pinks sold as rugs ever manage that.
The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:
At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.
Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380
It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.
Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340
Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.
Recommended: 170×240 · 200×290 · 240×340
Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.
Recommended: 80×290 · 90×390 · 90×490
Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.
Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.
Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.
At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.
