The story of this rug
A circle 180 cm across (5'11"), woven on a loom in Kütahya in Tencel® and cotton, gray, its vintage pattern worn back until it is barely a pattern at all. Round rugs have no corners to align and no direction to get wrong, which is why they suit a room that already has too many straight lines in it.
01Up close to the pattern
There is no wool in this one. The motifs are still there under the gray, but only just — they surface as slightly lighter passages rather than as a drawing with edges, the way a pattern looks after decades of sun. That flatness is what makes the circle work.
02The Tencel on the surface
A strongly drawn round rug turns into a target on the floor, whereas this one holds the shape without asking for the center of the room. Tencel® is Lenzing's brand of lyocell, a cellulosic fiber, and the reason for it here is the faint sheen it gives back under a lamp; the cotton alongside it supplies the softness and the strength.
03Knot by knot, by hand
Both are spun and set on the loom in Kütahya, in workshops that were hand-knotting two generations ago. Because the fiber is cellulosic and not wool, water is the enemy — professional cleaning, and nothing else. Made on a loom in Kütahya, Türkiye; Tencel® and cotton, and no wool. Round, 180 cm in diameter (5'11"). Contains no wool. Vintage drawing faded into the gray ground rather than sitting on it. Tencel® is a lyocell fiber; it gives the surface its faint sheen. Professional cleaning only. Under a round dining table it finishes the geometry; in an entrance it stops the room from reading as a corridor. This rug belongs to the Taftan Series.

Which size fits your room?
The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:
Living room
At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.
Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380
Dining room
It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.
Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340
Bedroom
Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.
Recommended: 170×240 · 200×290 · 240×340
Hallway · runner
Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules
Vacuum regularly
Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.
Treat spills before they dry
Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.
Leave washing to a professional
Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?
At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.
How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?
For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.
Can I return it if I do not like it?
Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.
Will the color match what I see on screen?
Small differences in tone are possible depending on your screen. Open the images full screen to study the surface, and watch the review video where there is one. If you want to be sure, you can see the rug in person at our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara.
Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?
It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.
How does the price change between sizes?
Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
Can I see the rug in Ankara?
Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.
Can I ask for a size that is not listed?
Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
