The story of this rug
Start with what it asks of you: the pile is viscose, and a viscose pile records footmarks until it is brushed back. Everything else is easy. Heritage Series plain turquoise rug, loom-woven at Oushak in western Türkiye, in two sizes only — 160 × 230 cm, near enough 5'3" × 7'7", or 200 × 300 cm, close to 6'7" × 9'10".
01Color that shifts through the day
Nothing is drawn on it. Turquoise is a difficult color to buy unseen, because it sits between blue and green and moves according to what is next to it. This one is on the muted side, closer to a worn glaze than to a swimming pool, and it turns green against warm wood and blue against white walls.
02Coming off the loom
Viscose is a cellulose fiber and throws light back along its filaments, so the ground brightens along the lie of the pile and darkens against it. Oushak has been weaving for centuries and still is; the Heritage looms there work the modern way, with knots set by machine and every operation afterward done by hand.
03To make it last
The pile is low, which is why the rug lies flat and vacuums quickly, and also why it feels thin rather than plush underfoot. It is made in a limited run. Professional washing, and nothing improvised at home. Viscose pile, from a loom at Oushak in western Türkiye. Offered at 160 × 230 cm and at 200 × 300 cm. Plain throughout — no border, no figure, no repeat. A muted turquoise that reads green beside wood and blue beside white. Low pile: no door will catch on it, and a vacuum clears it fast. Which size fits your room?
The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:
Living room
At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.
Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380
Dining room
It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.
Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340
Bedroom
Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.
Recommended: 170×240 · 200×290 · 240×340
Hallway · runner
Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules
Vacuum regularly
Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.
Treat spills before they dry
Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.
Leave washing to a professional
Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?
At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.
How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?
For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.
Can I return it if I do not like it?
Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.
Will the color match what I see on screen?
Small differences in tone are possible depending on your screen. Open the images full screen to study the surface, and watch the review video where there is one. If you want to be sure, you can see the rug in person at our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara.
Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?
It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.
How does the price change between sizes?
Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
Can I see the rug in Ankara?
Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.
Can I ask for a size that is not listed?
Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
