The story of this rug

It is made from 80 × 150 cm all the way to 300 × 400 cm (2'7" × 4'11" to 9'10" × 13'1"), which covers a bedside strip and a full salon floor using one drawing: a gray frame-pattern rug, machine-made in Türkiye in viscose and acrylic over cotton. A frame is the pattern that scales.

01A line from the archive

Enlarge a medallion and it becomes a target; enlarge a border and it simply grows wider, which is why the same drawing holds at both ends of that range. In a four-meter piece the frame gives the floor an edge to sit inside. In a hall runner it does the opposite job and stops a narrow strip from reading as a strip of nothing. Gray is the color that lets the border carry the weight.

02How it feels underfoot

The pile is viscose and acrylic on a cotton foundation, woven at the hundred-reed grade, so it lies flat without an underlay while the border edges stay clean rather than blurring. What viscose gives is sheen, and what sheen gives back is a record of traffic: the gray reads a shade lighter where people walk and returns when the nap is brushed. Vacuum, and use a professional for a proper clean. Machine-woven in Türkiye in viscose and acrylic over a cotton foundation. Frame pattern in gray, on an open field. Sizes begin at 80 × 150 cm and end at 300 × 400 cm, runner widths included. The border scales without distorting, which is why the range runs this wide. Traffic shows as a lighter shade until the nap is brushed back. Lies flat without an underlay. Professional washing. Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Will the color match what I see on screen?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
