Viscose yarn

On the surface: Viscose, Acrylic/Synthetic. Writing the yarn onto the spec sheet is saying in advance how the rug will age.

Modern motif

Modern pattern. Because the pattern comes from inside the weave, it can be followed from the back as well. Built on a brown, taupe ground.

Türkiye loom

This rug is woven in Türkiye. It comes straight from the workshop with no reseller layer; the place on the spec sheet and the place it was woven are the same.

Professional cleaning

Cleaning method: Professional cleaning. A pad laid underneath holds the rug in place and stops it rubbing against the floor; besides preventing sliding it also extends its life.

The story of this rug

01Zeminde ne var

Historia Serisi Makine Dokuma Vintage Desenli Kahverengi Halı, aynı serinin bakır renkli parçasından daha koyu ve daha renklidir. Kahve-tarçın bir zeminin üzerinde aşınmış klasik desenin izleri var; ama burada silinme her yerde eşit değil. Yatay ve dikey bantlar hâlinde ilerleyen aşınma, halının yüzeyini eski bir duvar sıvası gibi bölüyor. Aralarda soluk turkuaz-yeşil ve kiremit alanlar çıkıyor; bunlar zemindeki sıcaklığı kıran ve halıya derinlik veren üçüncü ve dördüncü renkler.

Bir çerçeve hattı da seçiliyor, ama tamamlanmıyor — bordür yer yer zemine karışıyor.

02Ölçüsü ve nerede iyi durur

200 × 290 cm, yaklaşık 5,8 metrekare — Türkiye'de salon halısının en yaygın ölçüsü. Üçlü koltuğun önünde koltuk genişliğini karşılar; köşe takımının önünde L'nin iki kolunu toplar.

Kahve-tarçın zemin, sıcak nötr paletin koyu ucudur ve odaya doğrudan ısı verir. Renk çemberinde turuncunun karartılmış hâli olduğu için, karşısındaki mavi ailesi onu dengeler: petrol mavisi bir berjer, lacivert bir kırlent ya da halının kendi içindeki turkuaz lekeleri tekrarlayan bir vazo. Yeşil bitki bu paletin doğal eşliğidir.

Halıdaki turkuaz izler bu yüzden dekorasyon açısından değerlidir: odaya soğuk bir renk sokma iznini halının kendisi verir. Sadece kahve ve bejden oluşan bir odada ise halı zeminle kaynaşır ve etkisini kaybeder; çevresinde en az bir açık yüzey — krem duvar, beyaz perde, açık ahşap — gerekir.

03Nasıl dokunmuş

Türkiye'de dokunmuştur; iplik viskon ve akrilik karışımı, dokuma sıklığı ürün verisinde 100 tarak. Aynı serinin iki renk varyantını karşılaştırmak, makine halısında rengin nasıl bir tasarım kararı olduğunu gösterir: desen dosyası aynı kalırken renk paleti değiştirildiğinde halının karakteri baştan kurulur. Bakır varyant sakin ve tek renkli okunurken, bu varyant dört renkli ve hareketlidir.

Bantlı aşınma etkisi dokumada satır grupları hâlinde çalışır: belli sıra aralıklarında açık iplik oranı yükseltilir, sonra düşürülür. Bu, tek bir motifi eritmekten farklı bir hesaptır; halının tamamına yayılan bir ritim kurulur.

04Bakımı ve sınırları

Temizliği profesyonel yıkamadır; ev koşullarında yıkanması önerilmez. Viskon oranı yüksek olan halılarda ıslaklık sakıncalıdır; lekeye su dökmeyin, kuru olarak emdirin. Koyu zemin tozu gizler ama açık renk lifleri belli eder. Fırçasız başlık ve hav yönünde tek yönlü süpürme, yüzeyi toparlar.

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Recommended: 170×240 · 200×290 · 240×340

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Recommended: 80×290 · 90×390 · 90×490

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Will the color match what I see on screen?

Small differences in tone are possible depending on your screen. Open the images full screen to study the surface, and watch the review video where there is one. If you want to be sure, you can see the rug in person at our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara.

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
