Full description

No motif, no border; only a blue pile across the surface. Hand-knotted in Türkiye, wool throughout, 135 × 188 cm (4'5" × 6'2"), about 2.5 square meters (roughly 27 square feet).

On a plain rug, light changes with the direction of the pile: looking along the way the pile lies, the surface appears lighter; from the opposite side, darker. Without a pattern the difference is easier to see, and the blue shifts as you walk through the room.

The color sits between petrol blue and blue-gray, with lighter and darker areas drifting through the field like cloud; the center looks slightly paler than the edges. The long edges are wrapped in yarn of the same blue. Cream fringe finishes the short ends, with a braided row just above it.

Laid crosswise under a 90 cm single bed, it leaves 49 cm of rug on each side. In a patterned room a plain blue becomes the place the eye rests; next to a striped curtain or a patterned bedspread, the rug steps back. Teak or cherry, woods that lean toward orange, are the opposite of blue, and each makes the other livelier. A white wall keeps the blue light. On a single-color rug the edges read more sharply, so it should sit parallel to the furniture, with equal space on both sides.

Between the pile and the fringe runs a narrow flatwoven band in the same blue.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Recommended: 170×240 · 200×290 · 240×340

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Recommended: 80×290 · 90×390 · 90×490

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
