The story of this rug

Lapis Series Frame-Pattern Beige Viscose Rug: a beige ground moving toward mink, a plain border drawn around it, woven by machine in Türkiye, viscose and acrylic over cotton. Beige is the hardest neutral to get right, and this one is warm rather than yellow. Two things separate a good beige floor from a bad one.

01The tone of the ground

The first is undertone — pushed toward yellow it fights every wood in the room, and pushed toward mink it agrees with oak, walnut and unbleached linen alike. The second is whether there is any structure in it, which is where the border earns its place: without one a beige rug is a blank, and with one the same rug looks placed rather than dropped. Viscose is why the beige carries more than a single value.

02A line from the archive

The filament sends light back along its length, so the ground reads pale near a window and deeper away from it, and the border picks that shift up half a step ahead of the field. Acrylic gives the pile its recovery under furniture legs.

03After the color

It is a surface a dog will find comfortable and a spill will not, so keep it out of the room where drinks get carried, and give it a professional wash rather than a home one. Machine-made in Türkiye — a viscose and acrylic pile, cotton foundation. Beige moving toward mink, with a plain frame border. The undertone is warm, which keeps it agreeable beside oak and walnut. Light changes the depth of the ground across the width of a room. Comfortable underfoot for a pet, and unforgiving about spills. Professional washing. Lapis stays untranslated, as every series name does. Beige gets picked by people who would rather not pick, and it repays being picked properly.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Will the color match what I see on screen?

Small differences in tone are possible depending on your screen. Open the images full screen to study the surface, and watch the review video where there is one. If you want to be sure, you can see the rug in person at our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara.

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
