Full description

An oval medallion, a garland of flowers around it, small birds in the branches. This decorative language is associated with French Savonnerie and Aubusson weaving. This rug speaks it, hand-knotted in India in wool and cotton, with silk among the yarns.

The oval medallion in the cream field is pale beige inside, filled with fine branches and birds, with red buds here and there. A brown band surrounds the medallion, gathering large pink and dusty-rose flowers among cream leaves. The medallion lies along the long axis of the rug, its two ends pointing to the short sides. In the wide cream border, large leaves curl, and rose bouquets sit in square panels at the corners.

It measures 176 × 268 cm (5'9" × 8'10"), about 4.7 square meters (roughly 51 square feet), a size for a medium living room or a larger bedroom.

In a living room, laid with the long side parallel to a 200 cm sofa, it leaves 34 cm of rug on each side, and the sofa looks set within it. The brown frame of the medallion meets a walnut or dark oak coffee table in the same tone. The pale ground builds a tone-on-tone room with beige linen and an off-white wall; because the colors stay close, the room stays calm.

The birds are not confined to the medallion: small orange bird shapes turn up among the curling leaves in the border panels too.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
