The story of this rug

Two sizes, both of them large: 200 × 290 and 240 × 340 cm (6'7" × 9'6" and 7'10" × 11'2"). Black Abstract Machine-Woven Viscose Rug, Fresco Series — designed in Türkiye and made on a machine there, the yarn sixty to seventy percent viscose with acrylic for the rest, in black and silver. The drawing is abstract and it is meant to be noticed; this is not a rug that recedes.

01The tone of the ground

Black takes light out of a room, so the argument for it is contrast — over a light floor or a stone-toned tile the silver comes forward and the pattern separates cleanly, and in a room already full of strong color the black is what settles everything else down.

02The mark of slow weaving

Beside gray and black furniture it reads as part of the scheme rather than as an object dropped into it. Viscose supplies the shine, acrylic supplies the resilience, and the combination is how a machine-woven rug can be brought close to the feel of a hand-woven one without anybody claiming that it is one. It is designed in-house and woven in Türkiye.

03To make it last

For cleaning: vacuum regularly and treat marks with a product made for rugs — heavy washing is the wrong approach for this construction, and light methods are what the maker asks for. Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
