Zeminde ne var

Makine Dokuma Çiçek Desenli Krem İpekli Halı, klasik bir kompozisyonun en soluk hâlidir. Kırık beyaz-krem bir zeminin üzerinde madalyonun, köşeliklerin ve bordürün izleri var ama hiçbiri tam çizilmemiş; soluk pembe, kum ve gri-bej tonlarında, zemine karışmış gibi duruyorlar. Bordürün yeri seçiliyor, hattı tamamlanmıyor.

Uzaktan bakıldığında halı neredeyse düz krem; yaklaştıkça klasik bir halının bütün yapısı ortaya çıkıyor. Bu, aynı kompozisyonun kontrastı düşürülerek yeniden yorumlanmasıdır.

Ölçüsü ve nerede iyi durur

200 × 290 cm, yaklaşık 5,8 metrekare — Türkiye'de salon halısının en yaygın ölçüsü. Üçlü koltuk önü, köşe takımı ve çift kişilik karyola altı için uygundur.

Türkiye'de ipek ve viskon ipliklerle makine tezgâhında dokunmuştur; ürün verisinde 100 tarak olarak kayıtlıdır. Silik bir deseni dokumak, keskin bir deseni dokumaktan daha çok ara ton gerektirir: keskin bir madalyon iki renk arasında tek bir sınır çizerken, silik bir madalyon o sınırı onlarca ara tona bölmek zorundadır. Yüksek tarak sayısı burada motifi netleştirmek için değil, yumuşatmak için kullanılmıştır.

İpek karışımının parlaklığı, renk farkının yapamadığını ışık farkıyla yapar: iki ton birbirine çok yakın olduğunda bile yüzeyden dönen ışığın açısı deseni ayırır. Bu kadar düşük kontrastlı bir halının yine de okunabiliyor olması buna bağlıdır.

Temizlik: profesyonel yıkama; ev koşullarında yıkanmaz. Açık ve düşük kontrastlı bir yüzeyde leke desen tarafından gizlenmez; dökülmede ovmadan, kuru bezle emdirin. Parlak lifli halılarda düz emişli başlık kullanın; döner fırça yüzeyi matlaştırır ve zaten düşük olan kontrastı iyice düşürür.

Full description

A classical rug with its contrast turned almost all the way down. On an off-white cream field the medallion, the corner-pieces and the border are all present and none of them is fully drawn — pale pink, sand and gray-beige, sunk into the ground until they nearly vanish. Machine-woven in Türkiye, silk with viscose, at a hundred reeds; the piece runs 200 × 290 cm (6'7" × 9'6") on the floor.

From the doorway it is a plain cream floor. Cross the room and the entire structure of a traditional rug assembles itself out of it: you see where the border ought to run before you see the border. The reason a faded drawing is harder to weave than a sharp one is not obvious. A crisp medallion needs a single boundary between two colors, while a soft one needs that boundary broken into dozens of intermediate tones — so the high reed count here is being spent on blurring rather than sharpening, which is an unusual use for it.

Silk and viscose do the remaining work. When two tones are this close, color alone cannot separate them and the angle of reflected light has to, so a lustrous fiber keeps legible a pattern that a matt one would erase completely. The consequence of a rug this pale is plain enough: nothing in the drawing will hide a mark, so it belongs where people sit rather than where people eat. Use a plain head on the vacuum, because a rotating brush takes off the shine and the shine is carrying the pattern.

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
