01What the yarn is

Made on Türkiye's Aegean side, in wool and viscose. A single piece. A double knot takes longer and returns a firmer surface with a cleaner drawn edge, which is why the flowers here have outlines instead of blurs.

02Color that shifts through the day

The palette is classical: cream doing almost all of the ground, purple appearing only in the blossoms, green threading between them. On a dark parquet floor the pale ground jumps and the drawing sharpens; against white walls and pastel yellows it settles back into the room.

03How it feels underfoot

It suits heavy furniture and light furniture equally, and it suits curtains that already carry a pattern — classical, damask, or plain tulle. The warp is viscose alone and the weft mixes wool with viscose. Viscose comes from plant cellulose and has the shine of silk without being silk; it is the fiber doing the visual work here, while wool does the tactile work. The fringes are plaited into flat ribbons at both ends. The absence of a cotton foundation makes this a finer rug and a more fragile one, and it should be cleaned by a professional rather than treated at home.
