The story of this rug

Cream Plain Machine-Woven Viscose Rug: no pattern of any kind, one cream tone in viscose, machine-woven in Türkiye. Two meters by three — 200 × 300 cm (6'7" × 9'10"). Viscose returns light along its length, so the floor is bright at one end of the room and quiet at the far end. Cream is the hardest color to keep on a floor and the easiest to build a room on.

01When you walk in

It gives back more light than it takes, which decides things in a north-facing room where a dark rug simply removes a square of the floor from view. Against white paint it reads warm; against a warm gray it reads almost white.

02Coming off the loom

With nothing woven in to look at, the eye follows the direction of the pile instead, and that changes as you cross it. Machine-woven in Türkiye, in viscose. The fiber is spun from cellulose, which is why it takes light the way it does and why it is soft in a manner wool is not.

03Which tone on the ground

The honest counterpart to all that: a smooth, light-returning fiber in a pale color records where people have walked until the pile is brushed back, and cream conceals nothing else either. Anyone wanting a floor that hides its history should not buy a cream one.

04Choosing the size

A bigger format exists as well: 240 × 340 cm (7'10" × 11'2"). Wash it professionally. Machine-woven in Türkiye, 100% viscose. Plain cream, without pattern, border or medallion. Two formats are made: the 200 × 300 cm (6'7" × 9'10") here, and a 240 × 340 cm (7'10" × 11'2"). Bright where the pile lies away from you, matt where it lies toward you. Footmarks show and brush out; cream hides nothing. Soft underfoot, with no pattern to arrange the furniture around. Professional washing for a deep clean. A plain cream floor is what a room looks like before anyone has decided anything, and that is precisely its use.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Recommended: 170×240 · 200×290 · 240×340

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
