The story of this rug

80 × 150 cm (2'7" × 4'11") is the length that goes beside a bed, inside a front door or along the foot of a wardrobe: a mink geometric hand-knotted rug in wool with viscose in the pattern, made in India, carrying curved lines of mustard, lavender and off-white across a mink ground. One piece, at this size only. The lines are curved rather than ruled, which is unusual in geometric drawing — they sweep across the mink like brush strokes that happen to have been counted out in knots.

01Color, by the light

Only three colors are used and none of them covers much ground. In daylight the mink lightens toward beige and champagne; in a dim hallway it falls back to something nearer taupe, and the three bright lines are all that stays constant. Wool carries the pile and holds the rug's shape; viscose appears only inside the colored lines, where its shine is the entire point.

02Knot by knot, by hand

Everything was tied by hand in India, part of a short run made only for this shop. One restriction the house states itself: keep this construction out of the kitchen, because crumbs work into a pile of this depth and are difficult to get out again. Anywhere else in a home it is at ease.

03Color that shifts through the day

Regular vacuuming; the deep clean is somebody else's trade. Hand-knotted in India; the drawing is exclusive to the house. Wool pile with viscose worked into the colored lines. Mustard, lavender and off-white curves on a mink ground. The mink lightens to champagne in daylight and darkens in dim rooms. 80 × 150 cm (2'7" × 4'11") — bedside, entry or dressing room. Not for kitchen use. Vacuum often; professional washing for anything more. Small rugs usually fill a gap.

This one is drawn well enough to be worth putting where somebody will stop and look down.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Will the color match what I see on screen?

Small differences in tone are possible depending on your screen. Open the images full screen to study the surface, and watch the review video where there is one. If you want to be sure, you can see the rug in person at our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara.

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
