Lyocell takes its light from the flat cross-section of the fiber, not from a treatment applied afterward. It stays after a professional cleaning.

The story of this rug

Round rugs get ordered far less often than rectangular ones, and this is one: a Zade Series rug in red, Oushak-pattern, loom-woven with a Tencel® pile over cotton and made in 160 cm and 200 cm diameters (5'3" and 6'7").

01The origin of the pattern

Flower and leaf drawing is set around the center, and a tree of life sits in the frame. A round format changes what an Oushak pattern can do. There is no long axis for the composition to travel down, so the flowers and leaves are arranged outward from the middle and the border closes the whole thing in one unbroken ring.

02Color that shifts through the day

The red is the earth-toned kind rather than the bright kind, so it holds a room without pulling at the eye: brighter in the morning, deeper and quieter after dark, with the color shifts sharpening whenever direct light crosses the surface. Oushak — Uşak in Turkish — has been weaving floral compositions of this kind for centuries, and the looms this rug comes off stand in the same district.

03Coming off the loom

The loom sets the structure and ties the knots, and the fringes are knotted afterward, one by one, by women in the surrounding villages. Tencel® makes the pile and cotton the foundation, so the surface has the silky handle of the first over the give of the second. The tree of life set into the frame is the Halıcızade mark, and the one element here not inherited from Oushak. Loom-woven in the Oushak (Uşak) region of Türkiye. Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
