Four things that set this rug apart

Wool surface

On the surface: Wool, Cotton. The same pattern woven in another yarn becomes another rug; the difference shows at the first touch.

Tribal motif

Tribal pattern. Because the pattern comes from inside the weave, it can be followed from the back as well. Built on a colorful ground.

Türkiye loom

This rug is woven in Türkiye. It comes straight from the workshop with no reseller layer; the place on the spec sheet and the place it was woven are the same.

Professional cleaning

Cleaning method: Professional cleaning. A pad laid underneath holds the rug in place and stops it rubbing against the floor; besides preventing sliding it also extends its life.

The story of this rug

The red field at the center is a lozenge that widens and narrows in steps, with a smaller pale-blue medallion inside it, its two ends drawn out into thin stems. Senneh kilims are known for their fine wefts and for exactly this plan: a stepped medallion at the center, and a ground filled row by row with small motifs.

01Which tone on the ground

Here the ground holds hundreds of small figures in navy, cream, pink and green, set out in rows. Large, colorful motifs stand at intervals along the red main border, and a fine zigzag runs through a pale-blue band toward the outer edge.

02The Wool on the surface

Because red appears both at the center and at the edge, it ties the middle of the kilim to its frame. Handwoven in the Middle East from wool and cotton. 145 × 257 cm (4'9" × 8'5"), about 3.7 square meters (roughly 40 square feet). Laid parallel in front of a 220 cm sofa, it extends about 18 cm past each end, so sofa and kilim read as one line.

03The origin of the pattern

The pattern is dense, so the small motifs stay legible beside plain, single-color upholstery. With a gray or navy sofa, the red medallion becomes the warm point of the room. Repeating the red once more, in a cushion or a vase, is enough; any more and it competes with the small motifs. Along the short ends, triangles and bell shapes join the diamonds in the border; the long sides have none.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Will the color match what I see on screen?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
