Lyocell takes its light from the flat cross-section of the fiber, not from a treatment applied afterward. It stays after a professional cleaning.

Authentic pattern. The motif is built row by row as the weaving advances; it is only seen whole once it comes off the loom. The ground color is gray.

The story of this rug

One size only: 200 × 290 cm, or 6'7" by 9'6". Gray Bird-and-Branch Loom-Woven Tencel Rug, Günyolu Series — a gray ground under branches drawn in cream and gold, thickening until they cover the field, with cream birds settled among them.

01From ground to pile

Tencel® over a cotton foundation, woven in Türkiye. This is a forest read in shadow rather than in light. The branches grow across the whole surface instead of gathering into a medallion, and the birds are not perched decoratively at the border — they sit inside the growth, still, at the scale of a real bird in a real tree.

02After the color

Cold gray and warm gold pull against each other and that tension is what gives the rug depth without giving it noise. It is a pattern that wants to be felt rather than counted, which suits a room of pale linen or velvet upholstery with metal and glass in it, and it works as well under a desk as under a sofa. Günyolu is the name of a mountain village near Kemaliye, in Erzincan, and it was borrowed for the series.

03From the hand of the weaver

Loom-woven means the frame ties the knots and the hands finish the rug, and the frames themselves stand in Kütahya and in Oushak. Tencel®'s own shine keeps the gold and the cream alive as the lighting changes through the day, so details surface at four in the afternoon that were not there at ten. Every piece leaves with the tree the house signs by woven into it. Cleaning is a workshop matter. Loom-woven in Türkiye on looms in Kütahya and Oushak, finished by hand. Tencel® surface over a cotton foundation. Cream and gold branches spreading across a gray ground, with cream birds among them. A reinterpretation of the tree of life, drawn quiet rather than emblematic. Fringes run along the two ends. Each rug carries the house tree-of-life. No other size is woven: 200 × 290 cm (6'7" × 9'6"). Professional cleaning. Give it a room with daylight from one side, and the pattern will keep changing its mind about where the birds are.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Will the color match what I see on screen?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
