Navy Oushak-Pattern Loom-Woven Tencel® Rug, Zade Series

A classical Oushak drawing with no wool anywhere in it: the Zade navy rug is loom-woven in Türkiye from Tencel® and cotton, its medallion and border set out in the old western-Anatolian order, on a ground deep enough to read almost black in low light.

01Knot by knot, by hand

The loom does the structure; the ends are closed by hand afterwards. Navy is what makes the pattern behave. An Oushak field is busy by design — a large central medallion, corner pieces, a wide border of its own — and on ivory it reads as antique.

02Color that shifts through the day

Sunk into navy it reads as pattern, and the lighter passages that carry the drawing come forward as line rather than as color. Tencel® supplies the last part, because lyocell takes light along the filament and leaves those pale lines looking lit from inside. Zade is Halıcızade's own series, and the house is direct about what it is: not hand-knotting, but a loom-set structure finished by hand, chosen because it holds a large classical pattern square across a room-sized piece in a way village weaving does not.

The tree-of-life mark of the house is set into every one. Since there is no wool, nothing felts and nothing sheds. Professional washing.
