01Zeminde ne var

El Dokuma Sandık Eskisi Anadolu Desenli Kars Halısı, somon-kiremit bir zemin üzerinde dikey sırada dizilmiş üç baklava madalyonla kurulur. Madalyonların kenarları çengellidir, içleri açık yeşil ve krem yıldızlarla doldurulmuştur; aralara serpiştirilmiş küçük çengel motifleri sırayı birbirine bağlar. Geniş krem bordür, üzerine yerleştirilmiş mavi basamaklı üçgenlerle halının en yüksek kontrastlı bölümüdür. Bu kompozisyon az sayıda motifle kurulmuştur ve tam da bu yüzden uzaktan da yakından da aynı netlikte okunur.

02Ölçüsü ve nerede iyi durur

121 × 176 cm, yaklaşık 2 metrekare. Antre, çalışma odası, karyolanın yan tarafı ve tek bir berjerin önü için doğru ölçüdür; üçlü koltuğun genişliğini karşılamaz.

Somon-kiremit zemin ile krem bordür arasındaki kontrast yüksektir, mavi üçgenler de bunu keskinleştirir; bu yüzden halı sade bir odada tek başına yeter. El Dokuma Sandık Eskisi Anadolu Desenli Kars Halısı, Türkiye'de yün iplikle elde dokunmuştur. Bu halının kompozisyonu, dokuma zorluğunun desenin karmaşıklığında değil düzenin sürekliliğinde olduğunu gösterir: aynı baklava madalyon üç kez tekrar eder ve üçü de aynı genişlikte biter, bordürdeki basamaklı üçgenler dört kenarda da eşit aralıkla döner. Düğüm sırası boyunca sayı tutmadığında ilk kaçan şey bu eşitliktir. Zeminde geniş ve boş bırakılmış alanlar bulunması da ayrı bir zorluktur: desenin gizleyemeyeceği bir yüzeyde dokumanın düzgünlüğü doğrudan görünür. Halı sandık eskisidir: dokunduktan sonra yıllarca sandıkta kalmış, yere çok az serilmiştir.

04Deseni nereden geliyor

Kars el halısı coğrafi işaretli bir üründür ve tescilindeki tarif madalyon kompozisyonuna dayanır: stilize bitkisel, kuş ve ejder motifleri ile çengel, ok ve koç boynuzu gibi geometrik öğeler bir arada kullanılır. Tescilde geçen renkler kırmızı ve tonları, lacivert, yeşil, beyaz, sarı ve kahve tonlarıdır; boyanmamış yünün siyah, kahve, gri ve krem doğal renkleri de paletin parçasıdır. Bu halıdaki üç çengelli madalyon, bordürdeki basamaklı üçgen dizisi ve krem–mavi karşıtlığı o tarifin içinde kalır.

05Bakımı ve sınırları

Derinlemesine temizliği yalnızca profesyonel yıkamayla yapılır; evde denenmez. Zeminde geniş açık alanlar bulunduğu için leke desenli bir halıya göre daha görünür olur; yemek masası altı için ilk tercih değildir. Süpürürken fırçalı başlık yerine düz emişli başlık tercih edin.

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Will the color match what I see on screen?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
