The story of this rug

Two diameters only — 160 × 160 cm and 200 × 200 cm, or 5'3" and 6'7" across — and the circle is the whole reason to choose it. A cream vintage Zade rug in Tencel® and cotton, woven at Kütahya, with red and blue motifs spread across the field and the Halıcızade tree of life set around them. It neither demands attention nor hides: cream holds the temperature down and the red and blue motifs give it just enough to say.

01Color that shifts through the day

Daylight opens the colors up; in the evening the same surface goes deeper and quieter. Dropped into a room it takes away the sensation of bare floor and replaces it with something warmer, which is a modest claim and the true one.

02Coming off the loom

Larger diameters can be woven to order for projects. The Kütahya looms tie the knots, and the rug is then finished in the district — every fringe knotted by women in their own homes. Tencel® with cotton gives the surface a soft, hard-wearing hand and a texture that brightens or dulls depending on the light falling on it. There is no wool in the rug, and the pile is low enough that lint and dust have little to hold onto. Loom-woven in Kütahya, Türkiye; fringes finished by hand. Tencel® and cotton; no wool content. Red and blue vintage motifs on a cream ground, with the Halıcızade tree of life around them. Round, at 160 and 200 cm across — larger diameters to order for projects. Fringes knotted at home, one by one, by women in the district. Professional washing; a round rug is easier to send out than a large rectangle. Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Will the color match what I see on screen?

Small differences in tone are possible depending on your screen. Open the images full screen to study the surface, and watch the review video where there is one. If you want to be sure, you can see the rug in person at our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara.

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
