Cellulose-based fibers take dye into themselves rather than carrying it on top. Where it wears, no pale ground appears.

The story of this rug

Lyocell is what this entire surface is: Tencel®, spun out of wood pulp in a closed-loop process, and nothing besides. Cream abstract loom-woven rug from the Zima series, Tencel® on a cotton foundation, made in Türkiye, 200 × 300 cm and in feet 6'7" × 9'10", with no wool anywhere in it. Lyocell behaves on a floor the way nothing else does.

01Which tone on the ground

It is cool to the sole where wool is warm; it takes dye deeply, so a cream stays cream instead of going yellow, and it reflects rather than absorbs, which is why an abstract drawing in a single family of tones stays visible at all.

02Where the Border comes from

The Zima face is quiet by design: shapes rather than motifs, no border, nothing that fixes a direction. In a bedroom that is exactly what is wanted at seven in the morning. Loom-woven, which sits between the two constructions buyers usually compare: warp and pile go down mechanically at a density near hand work, and a person closes the ends and the fringes afterward.

03Knot by knot, by hand

Halıcızade does not call this hand-knotted and it is not. The house mark is a tree of life, worked into every piece in the series. Wool-free matters to people who avoid wool, and it is worth saying plainly rather than burying: there is none here.

04From ground to pile

And cream on the floor of a house with small children is a choice made with open eyes — the fiber cleans well, but it shows everything before it is cleaned. The house asks for professional washing. Loom-woven in Türkiye: mechanical structure, hand-finished ends. Tencel® lyocell surface on a cotton foundation — no wool in the construction. A cream abstract field with no border and no fixed direction. 200 × 300 cm (6'7" × 9'10"). Lyocell is cool underfoot and holds a pale tone without yellowing. Carries the Halıcızade tree-of-life mark. Pale ground, so it shows a spill before a darker rug would. Professional washing. It is the rug you put in the room you walk through barefoot, and it will still be cream in five years if it is looked after.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Recommended: 170×240 · 200×290 · 240×340

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Will the color match what I see on screen?

Small differences in tone are possible depending on your screen. Open the images full screen to study the surface, and watch the review video where there is one. If you want to be sure, you can see the rug in person at our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara.

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
