Natural surface

On the surface: Natural, Wool. The shine of the rug, its weight and what its care asks all follow from that choice.

This rug is woven in Türkiye. It comes straight from the workshop with no reseller layer; the place on the spec sheet and the place it was woven are the same.

Cleaning method: Professional cleaning. A pad laid underneath holds the rug in place and stops it rubbing against the floor; besides preventing sliding it also extends its life.

The story of this rug

Red against anthracite is the loudest pairing in the Heritage series and the only one in it that raises its voice. The rug is abstract and borderless, three meters long by two wide (200 × 300 cm, or 6'7" × 9'10").

01From ground to pile

Wool from New Zealand flocks and bamboo viscose share the surface; cotton carries them from below. Made near Oushak, in western Türkiye. The two colors are not divided into zones. They wash across and through one another so that no edge announces where red ends, and the dark gray acts less as a second color than as the shadow the red throws. Viscose threads run through the brighter passages and lift them, so the red reads hot from one side of the room and banked from the other.

02Coming off the loom

There is no medallion, no field, no border — the composition refuses all three, and at this size that refusal is the design. Production begins semi-industrially on a loom and is completed by women weavers by hand, which is how the Heritage rugs are made. The knots are set close, so the surface has the density of hand work without the years.

03Which tone on the ground

Two limitations are worth stating: a red this saturated will sit badly next to another strong color, and viscose shows the direction the pile was last brushed in. Neither is a fault; both are facts.

04Knot by knot, by hand

Send it out for washing. Loom-woven in the Oushak region, finished by hand by women weavers. New Zealand wool and bamboo viscose in the surface, cotton foundation. Red and anthracite washed through one another, with no border anywhere. Viscose lifts the brighter passages; the red changes weight as you move. 200 × 300 cm (6'7" × 9'10"), enough to hold a whole seating group. It will not share a room with a second strong color. Brush marks stay visible in the viscose passages. Professional washing; part of a limited Heritage run. A red floor changes what people wear in a room, which is either the reason to buy it or the reason not to.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Recommended: 200×290 · 240×340 · 300×380

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Recommended: 200×290 · 250×250 · 240×340

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Recommended: 170×240 · 200×290 · 240×340

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Recommended: 80×290 · 90×390 · 90×490

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.
