The story of this rug

Small — 80 × 150 cm (2'7" × 4'11") — zigzags from edge to edge: Multicolor Geometric Loom-Woven Tencel Rug, Zara Series, red, blue, beige and cream running in soft chevrons across a Tencel® and cotton weave. Loom-woven means a mechanical loom lays the structure and the finishing is done by hand. The chevrons are drawn soft-edged rather than hard, and the four colors take turns rather than repeating in a fixed order, so a rug this size never becomes a pattern you stop seeing.

01Which tone on the ground

Red and blue carry the weight; beige and cream sit between them and stop the two strong colors from meeting head-on. Put it inside a front door, beside a bed, or along the working side of a kitchen and it does what a small bright rug does, which is give the eye somewhere to land. Tencel® and cotton, with nothing synthetic spun into either.

02At the loom in in Uşak

Production is in Uşak, in workshops staffed largely by women, and the fringes at both ends are braided and tied by hand once the rug leaves the loom — a step that takes as long per rug as it sounds and is the reason no two ends are quite identical.

03To make it last

The surface is soft with a light sheen to it, and it wipes and vacuums without ceremony. A loom-woven rug is not a hand-knotted one, and this house has never claimed it is. Made on a loom in Uşak, western Türkiye, in a workshop worked mostly by women. Tencel® and cotton yarns; no synthetic yarn in the build. 80 × 150 cm (2'7" × 4'11") — an entrance, a kitchen strip, a bedside. Red, blue, beige and cream chevrons, softened at the edges. Fringes braided and knotted by hand once the weaving is finished. A light sheen from the Tencel®, and a surface that takes daily cleaning easily. It goes to a rug washer for cleaning, and never into a machine. One piece at this size. It is the rug people buy to see whether they like color on the floor, and it usually settles the question.

Which size fits your room?

The most common mistake in choosing a rug is buying too small. Here are the numbers, room by room:

Living room

At least the front legs of the sofas should sit on the rug. Leave 20–40 cm of floor showing around it.

Dining room

It should extend 60–75 cm beyond every edge of the table, so chairs do not catch when pulled back.

Bedroom

Either cover the lower two-thirds of the bed, or choose a size that extends 60–90 cm on three sides.

Hallway · runner

Choose one 25–30 cm shorter than the hallway, leaving 10–15 cm of floor on each side.

Care — three rules

Vacuum regularly

Use a head without a beater bar, in the direction of the pile. Once a week is enough; dust is lifted before it settles between the yarns.

Treat spills before they dry

Blot, do not rub. Dampen with a suitable cleaner and dry.

Leave washing to a professional

Household machines are not suitable for woven rugs. One professional wash a year is recommended.

Which size should I choose for a living room?

At least the front legs of your sofas should sit on the rug. For a standard living room 200 × 290 cm is recommended; for wide rooms 240 × 340 cm or 300 × 380 cm. The scale plan on this page shows how much of a 520 × 420 cm room each size covers.

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

For international orders, shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid in advance; there is no cash on delivery. Rugs in stock leave Ankara within 1–3 business days.

Can I return it if I do not like it?

Yes. You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. On international orders return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Will the color match what I see on screen?

Small differences in tone are possible depending on your screen. Open the images full screen to study the surface, and watch the review video where there is one. If you want to be sure, you can see the rug in person at our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara.

Can the rug be used over underfloor heating?

It depends on the pile height. Low-pile woven rugs work with underfloor heating and do not block the heat. If you are unsure, send the product code to Client Services on WhatsApp.

How does the price change between sizes?

Pricing is by the square meter. The price per square meter is shown next to the price, and it updates as you select a size.

Can I see the rug in Ankara?

Yes. At our showroom in Çankaya, Ankara you can see the rugs in this series and touch the weave. No appointment is needed.

Can I ask for a size that is not listed?

Custom sizes can be woven in many series. Send your measurements on WhatsApp and we will come back with a production time and a price.
