Green Plain Loom-Woven Tencel Rug, Gessi Series

At 4'3" × 6'3", or 130 × 190 cm, this is a small rug, and it is drawn accordingly: a plain loom-woven Tencel® rug in a soft khaki that leans green, made in Türkiye, with no motif at all and only a fine rhythm in the weave to hold the eye. Khaki is a difficult green to place because it can go military very quickly.

01Color, by the light

This one has been pulled toward olive and kept matt, so it behaves like a warm neutral instead of a color statement — it will sit under a patterned chair without arguing, and beside plain wood it reads as the greenery a room does not otherwise have.

02Knot by knot, by hand

Tencel® carries a natural luster, which stops the matt tone from going dead: there is a low shine on it in raking light and none at all straight on. It is loom-woven in Türkiye, machine speed through the field with the finishing done by hand.

03From ground to pile

Tencel® is a lyocell fiber spun from wood cellulose, and it gives a soft, cool surface at very little weight — this is a rug one person can pick up and shake out, which at this size matters more than it sounds.

04Coming off the loom

It is also a small rug and does not pretend otherwise: 130 × 190 will furnish the side of a bed, a child's room or a reading corner, and it will not carry a living room on its own. Loom-woven in Türkiye from Tencel®, a lyocell fiber spun from wood cellulose. Plain soft khaki-green with no motif; the interest is in the weave rhythm. 130 × 190 cm (4'3" × 6'3") — bedside, reading corner or a child's room. Light enough to lift and shake out single-handed.
